I love Catherine Zeta-Jones. I did not realize, until this morning when Vogue Knitting posted this article, that she knits. I knew there was a reason I connected with her! 🙂

Wrapping up spring break with a little trip to the art museum. I had to do a double take of this piece. It is a flat woven piece made with merino wool, linen, viscose and a few other miscellaneous fibers. But when you walk in the room and see it, it looks like a 3-dimensional piece with all the layers of rock. Definitely a weaving masterpiece!

Spring was not here a week ago, but a few days ago, it showed up. Trees are blooming, flowers are blooming, and it's been warm enough to do my #knitting outdoors.

Really excited to be doing two re-knits of two of my designs. These will be shop samples @sunshineweavingandfiberarts and for this particular one, there will be beautiful kits with my pattern, the yarn, needles and handmade project bags sewn by another talented local. This is going to be a 4-color, triangular version of one of my first designs called Unfurled. I wasn't sure how it would look in a less lofty yarn (the original was in mohair), but I am LOVING it! This is one of those projects I can't put down because I can't wait to get to the next color combo.

Husband and I took the night out to celebrate Valentines a few days early. We rarely have time for nights out, but we make it worth our while when we do. ;)

That just-got-home-from-the-yarn-store, excited-to-cast-on feeling...😁🥰

I haven't knit brioche in awhile, but I had alot of fun making this simple cowl as a gift for a friend. I will write up the pattern and publish it as a freebie very soon. If you want to try brioche but all the fancy stuff looks intimidating to you (as it did to me), this is perfect for trying out the technique. Even basic brioche gives such beautiful texture!
