Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving!

I hope all of you had a blessed and happy Thanksgiving. I had a really nice week with family and friends, which of course, are the best reasons to be grateful in life. My son’s class went on a field trip that week to the CA Science Center, and I always enjoy having a day out with the kids. For the holiday itself, we went to a dear friend’s house. She and her family are our California family, and her house is always filled with warmth and laughter and good Chilean food. I am so grateful to have to have her and her family in my life. It was also nice to have a little extra downtime, which of course, I had no trouble filling with knitting.

Here are a few highlights from the week.

I’ve been to the Science Center many times, but my son’s field trip was the first time we’ve had the good luck of seeing the divers feeding the fish. I’m happy I was able to get some photos without reflections on the aquarium glass.

We went to get some sushi one evening and I was stepping out of the car just in time to get a beautiful shot of the sun setting over downtown Burbank.

Nothing like two cats cuddling with each other on my daughter’s bed to make me feel like all is right.

Pisco sour at Thanksgiving

My favorite Chilean drink to toast Thanksgiving. But you have to know a Chilean to get one because pisco isn’t available in the United States. I think we should all petition to get it made available! 🙂

We did not have the traditional turkey and stuffing. Aside from all the delicious appetizers which were a meal by themselves, we had salmon and rice and empanadas. Life is good!

I hope your holiday was filled with warmth, good food and people you feel grateful for too! Blessings!
